On December 5, 2017 – William Despo will moderate a panel and speak about cybersecurity risks, at the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey dinner meeting. It will be held at the APA Hotel in Woodbridge, 120 Wood Avenue South, Iselin, New Jersey.
The presentation will include a panel discussion covering cybersecurity risks to client information and your practice. Experts in compliance, technology and insurance will discuss issues regarding the following:
1. Compliance with the regulatory environment;
2. Technology threats and protections; and
3. Insurance coverages and E&O issues.
The discussion will include topics such as the nature and extent of cybersecurity risks, regulatory actions (SEC, FINRA and state level), best practices, developing policies and procedures and business continuity plans, a review of the various cybersecurity insurance coverages and how key provisions apply, case studies and audience participation and questions. Chief of Examinations, N.J. Bureau of Securities will outline compliance and examination issues pertaining to cybersecurity.
